Our dream is to create safe & supportive homes in a community
where each individual can have the freedom to reach his/her potential.
The vision of Freedom Home of Upstate New York was inspired by a mother's love.
Universally, caregivers ask the question, "Who will provide care for my loved one when I am no longer able?"
Freedom Home of Upstate New York offers an alternative answer.
Freedom Home of Upstate New York is an organization of individuals committed to a vision, a mission and a plan to provide housing options for persons with autism and developmental challenges. To make this dream a reality will require
increased awareness of the need for such a community and financial resources.
The development and completion of each home will be based on careful strategic planning, funding availability, community
outreach and support. The realization of this community will be based on those resources.
At this time (2025), Phase 1 of this project consists of planning, development, fund-raising and building of homes.
There is much work ahead before our plans can be fully realized. No homes are currently available for residents.
Upon completion and certification of the homes, Phase 2 of the project begins.
Phase 2 plan will consist of operations and management of the homes under the direction of agencies in New York State
Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).
